Before you begin
Open KakaoTalk after installing it. Account setup can vary for new and returning users, so follow the options displayed in your app. All account entry takes place in KakaoTalk, not on this website.
Choose the right starting point
Read the app's welcome screen. If you already have a Kakao Account, choose the returning-user or sign-in option shown. If this is your first time, follow the app's new-user instructions.
If you are moving from an old phone, check Kakao's current transfer and chat-backup guidance before continuing. Do not assume every old conversation will transfer automatically.
Read the terms and choices
Review the terms and any required or optional choices displayed in the app. Make each selection yourself before proceeding.
You do not need to hurry. If you do not understand a choice, pause and read the explanation provided by Kakao.
Check your phone number
Select the correct country or region and enter your own mobile number as the app requests. Check the digits before requesting verification.
You need access to the number you enter. If you use a number from another country, follow the country-code and number-format instructions shown in the app.
Complete verification privately
Follow the verification method displayed in KakaoTalk. If a code is sent to your phone, enter it only in the app screen that requested it.
Keep the code to yourself. Andante Lab never asks you to enter a verification code here or send it by email.
Review your profile and finish
Follow the remaining account and profile prompts. Choose the name you want people to see, and review the settings before starting your first conversation.

Do I need to share my code with someone helping me?
No. A helper can read the instructions with you, but you should enter sensitive details yourself in the official app. Keep passwords and verification codes private.
